DOCKET NO. 91- 228) AND REGION 13 700 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING The Region 13 (Illinois, except for Southern Lake Michigan 1 ) 800 MHz NPSPAC Planning Committee and the Region 13 (Illinois, except for Southern Lake Michigan) 700 MHz Planning Committee announce that consecutive meetings will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the Illinois State Police, Communications Services Bureau conference room, located at 531 Sangamon Avenue, Springfield, Illinois. The meeting of the Region 13 800 MHz NPSPAC Planning Committee meeting will convene at 10: 00 a. m. The purpose of the meeting is to review any pending 800 MHz applications and to address any outstanding issues. The Region 13 700 MHz Planning Committee will convene its meeting immediately following the adjournment of the Region 13 800 MHz NPSPAC Planning Committee meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to finalize and forward the 700 MHz Plan to the FCC, as well as plan development for use of 4.9 GHz spectrum. Both of the Region 13 Public Safety Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 13 whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. 1 For the state of Illinois, the “Southern Lake Michigan” counties are Winnebago, McHenry, Cook, Kane, Kendall, Grundy, Boone, Lake, DeKalb, Well and Kankakee.
