The new form will be available through the Bureau’s International Bureau Filing System (IBFS), located on the Internet at www. fcc. gov/ ibfs. This new electronic form was developed for use by international carriers, who have current authorizations to provide international telecommunications service, and wish to either transfer or assign them to a different entity. It is anticipated that the new form will offer several benefits to filers and the general public. First, the new electronic form should substantially reduce time filers expend researching the rules and preparing and completing accurate Transfer of Control and Assignment applications. Second, the new electronic form eliminates traditional mail delivery and data entry intervals. Third, the public can expect quicker access to electronically- filed 214 Transfer of Control and Assignment applications for due diligence and research purposes. And, fourth, the new electronic form will eliminate data entry errors associated with paper filings.
