C. 20554 DA 04- 3178 October 1, 2004 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 43 (WASHINGTON STATE) PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES REGION 43 700 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETINGS The Region 43 (Washington) 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee announces a series of upcoming meetings related to the development and adoption of a Regional Plan for the 700 MHz band, planning for the 4.9 GHz Public Safety band, and modifications of the 800 MHz plan that may be appropriate given FCC rebanding actions. Each meeting will be held from 10: 00 a. m. to 3: 00 p. m. The meeting schedule for the balance of 2004 is as follows: October 27, 2004 – City of Yakima Police Department, 200 South 3 rd Street, Yakima, WA November 17, 2004 – Snohomish County Public Utility, 1802 75 th Street SW, Everett, WA December 15, 2005 – Snohomish County Public Utility, 1802 75 th Street SW, Everett, WA Detailed information on the Region 43 planning process, detailed meeting information, draft planning documents, and other information is available at the Region 43 web site at: www. region43. org. The web site has a tool to allow you to sign up to the Region 43 listserver to receive continuing information and documents related to the planning process in Washington state. Details such as formal agendas, maps and contact information for each meeting will be posted on the Region 43 web site in advance of all meetings along with conference call phone numbers whenever possible for participants who can’t travel to the meeting. The Region 43 (Washington) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Washington State would utilize these frequencies.
