 WIRELINE  COMPETITION  BUREAU  ANNOUNCES  THE  FINAL  AGENDA  FOR  A  SYMPOSIUM  ON  THE  FUTURE  OF 
 NUMBERING:  WILL  NEW  TECHNOLOGIES,  INNOVATIONS  AND  SERVICES  AFFECT  NUMBERING  ADMINISTRATION  AND 
 OPTIMIZATION?

 On  October  13,  2004  the  Wireline  Competition  Bureau  (Bureau)  released  a  Public  Notice  announcing  a  symposium  on  “The  Future  of  Numbering.”  1  The  symposium  will  be 
 held  on  Thursday,  November  4,  2004,  from  1:  00  p.  m.  until  5:  00  p.  m.  and  will  explore  the  impact  of  new  technologies,  innovations  and  services  on  the  Commission’s  numbering 
 resource  optimization  goals.  This  symposium  will  also  enable  the  Bureau  to  receive  input  from  interested  parties  and  industry  experts  on  the  numbering  resource  optimization  issues 
 facing  providers  of  new  and  emerging  technologies  and  services.  A  copy  of  the  final  agenda  is  attached  to  this  Public  Notice. 


 The  symposium  will  be  held  at  the  Federal  Communications  Commission,  Portals  II,  445  Twelfth  Street,  SW,  Room  TW-  C305,  Washington,  DC  20554.  Interested  parties  may
