C. 20554 In the Matter of: Comcast Cable Communications, LLC, on behalf of its subsidiaries and affiliates, Petition for Determination of Effective Competition in Coral Gables, Florida, FL1273, FL0421, FL0674, FL1263, FL0427, and FL0553 ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) CSR 6046- E, CSR 6047- E, CSR 6048E, CSR 6409- E, CSR 6010- E ORDER Adopted: November 16, 2004 Released: November 17, 2004 By the Deputy Chief, Policy Division, Media Bureau: 1. The City of Coral Gables, Florida (the “City”) filed a Motion for Extension of Time (“ Motion”) to file its opposition to the Petition for Special Relief (“ Petition”) in the above- captioned matter filed by Comcast Cable Communications, LLC, on behalf of its subsidiaries and affiliates. The City states that the City Commission meets only two times per month and the next meetings are scheduled for November 9 and 23, 2004, therefore, not allowing the City sufficient time to reply to Comcast’s Petition by the due date. Comcast filed an opposition arguing that the County’s request for an extension of time is excessive and that the County has failed to show any extraordinary circumstances or issues to justify an extension of time. The City filed an opposition to Comcast reply arguing that Comcast does not oppose its extension of time, but rather the amount of time requested. We agree with Comcast that the City’s requested extension seems somewhat excessive and will not grant the full extension. Based on the foregoing, the City’s opposition to Comcast’s Petition will be due on or before December 3, 2004. Comcast’s reply will be due 10 days thereafter. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the Motion for Extension of Time filed by the City of Coral Gables, Florida in the above- captioned proceeding IS GRANTED to the extent indicated herein. 3. This action is taken under delegated authority pursuant to Section 0.283 of the Commission’s rules. 1 FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Steven A. Broeckaert Deputy Chief, Policy Division Media Bureau 1 47 C. F. R. § 0.283. 1
