C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418- 0500 Internet: http:// www. fcc. gov TTY: 1- 888- 835- 5322 DA 04- 3647 November 18, 2004 MEDIA BUREAU ANNOUNCES DISMISSAL OF UNAMENDED FORM 301, 314, AND 315 AM AND FM APPLICATIONS; AMENDMENT DEADLINE SET FOR CERTAIN OTHER COMMERCIAL RADIO STATION APPLICATIONS On October 8, 2004, the Media Bureau released a Public Notice which announced that the Office of Management and Budget had approved for use revised FCC Forms 301, 314, and 315. 1 The Public Notice also established a November 8, 2004, deadline for filing amendments to pending commercial radio station applications filed on the June 2002 versions of these forms. These applicants were required to demonstrate compliance with the new local radio ownership rules or to request a waiver of these rules. No amendments have been received for the applications listed in Attachment A. Accordingly, the Bureau is dismissing these applications pursuant to Section 73.3568( a)( 1) of the Commission’s rules. Applications and Amendments Filed on 2001 and Earlier Versions of Forms 301, 314 and 315. Pending before the Bureau are a number of commercial radio station applications filed prior to the effective date of the June 2002 versions of Forms 301, 314, and 315. This includes both paper- and electronically- filed applications. These applications also must be amended to demonstrate compliance with the new local radio ownership rules or to request a waiver of these rules. Amendments and waiver requests must be submitted within 30 days of the release of this Public Notice. The failure to submit either an ownership showing or waiver request will result in the dismissal of the unamended application. All applications will retain originally assigned file numbers. Amendments must be submitted electronically. Current versions of these forms are available and may be accessed through the Bureau’s Consolidated Database System. This system enables the public to complete and file these amendments via the Internet from the Media Bureau’s web site, http:// www. fcc. gov/ mb/ elecfile. html. Action by the Chief, Media Bureau. The annual reporting burden for each of these collection( s) of information, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the required data and completing and reviewing the collection of information, are estimated to be: FCC Form 301: 3,370 respondents, 37 to 121 hours per annum, for a total annual burden of 7,427 hours, and $35,485,300 in total annual costs; FCC Form 314: 1,591 respondents, 12 to 48 hours per annum, for a total annual burden of 2,546 hours, and $12,236,878 in total annual costs; and FCC Form 315: 1,591 respondents, 12 to 48 hours per annum, for a total annual burden of 2,546 hours, and $12,236,878 in total annual costs.
