C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418- 0500 Internet: http:// www. fcc. gov TTY: 1- 888- 835- 5322 DA 04- 3712 November 30, 2004 NOTICE OF PUBLICATION IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF EFFECTIVE DATE OF CERTAIN DIGITAL LOW POWER TELEVISION RULES On September 30, 2004, the Commission issued a Report and Order establishing rules and policies for digital low power television and television translator stations and modifying certain rules applicable to digital Class A TV stations. 1 In the Report and Order, the Commission stated that the rules shall become effective 60 days after publication in the Federal Register except that rule sections that contain information collection requirements under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 shall not be effective until approved by the Office of Management and Budget. The rules were published in the Federal Register on November 29, 2004. The Federal Register citation is 69 FR 69325. Those rules not requiring OMB approval will be effective January 28, 2005. A subsequent Public Notice shall be issued announcing the effective date of those rule sections requiring OMB approval.
