 INTERNATIONAL  BUREAU  LAUNCHES  THE  NEW  ELECTRONIC  INTERNATIONAL  SECTION  214  TRANSFER  OF  CONTROL/  ASSIGNMENT 
 APPLICATION  FORM 


 The  International  Bureau  has  made  available  an  electronic  form  for  use  by  international  telecommunications  providers  when  filing  International  Section  214  Transfer  of  Control  and  Assignment 
 applications.  The  new  form,  effective  December  7,  2004,  may  be  accessed  through  MyIBFS,  the  Bureau’s  electronic  filing  system  located  at  www.  fcc.  gov/  ibfs. 


 The  new  form  offers  several  benefits  to  filers  and  the  general  public.  First,  the  new  electronic  form  substantially  reduces  time  filers  expend  researching  the  rules  and  preparing  and  completing  accurate 
 Transfer  of  Control  and  Assignment  applications.  Second,  the  new  electronic  form  eliminates  traditional  mail  delivery  and  data  entry  intervals.  Third,  the  public  can  expect  quicker  access  to  electronically-  filed 
 214  Transfer  of  Control  and  Assignment  applications  for  due  diligence  and  research  purposes.  And,  fourth,  the  new  electronic  form  will  eliminate  data  entry  errors  associated  with  paper  filings.
