C. 20554 DA 04- 637 March 9, 2004 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 3 (ARIZONA) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES NEXT MEETING The Region 3 (Arizona) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee announces that its next meeting will be held on April 30, 2004 from 1: 00 p. m. until 4: 00 p. m. at the Lake Havasu City Police Department, located at 2360 McCulloch Boulevard, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The agenda for this meeting will include: 1. Discuss and approve the minutes from the January 7, 2004 meeting, 2. Reports from subcommittees for: a. Funding b. Strategy 3. Reports on 4.9 GHz activities in other regions, and 4. Update and discussion on Region 3’s 700 MHz Plan. The Region 3 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Arizona whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band, or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band within Region 3 should plan to attend.
