 On  March  23,  2004,  General  Communication,  Inc.  (GCI)  withdrew  its  Petition  for  Waiver  filed  in  1998  requesting  an  extension 
 of  a  waiver  to  permit  GCI  to  construct  and  operate  earth  station  facilities  in  approximately  50  bush  communities  in  Alaska.  The 
 matter  before  the  Commission  in  the  Petition  for  Waiver  was  resolved  by  Commission  action  in  August  2003,  therefore,  GCI 
 withrdrew  its  request.  See  Policy  for  Licensing  Domestic  Satellite  Earth  Stations  in  the  Bush  Communities  of  Alaska,  IB  Docket

 On  March  15,  2004,  EchoStar  Satellite  L.  L.  C.  declined  its  authorization  to  construct,  launch  and  operate  a  Ka-  Band  satellite  at 
 the  125º  W.  L.  orbital  location.  See  letter  from  Pantelis  Michalopoulos,  Counsel  for  EchoStar  Satellite  L.  L.  C.  to  Marlene  H. 
 Dortch,  Secretary,  Federal  Communications  Commission  (March  15,  2004). 


 This  authorization  has  been  surrendered  voluntarily  by  EchoStar  Satellite.  Accordingly,  this  orbit  location  is  available  as  of  11:  00 
 AM  EST  on  the  day  this  public  notice  is  released.
