C. 20554 DA 05- 1493 May 23, 2005 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATONS BUREAU REGION 17 (KENTUCKY) PLANNING COMMITTEES ANNOUNCE NPSPAC 800 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING (PR Docket No. 92- 273) AND 700 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING The Region 17 (Kentucky) Regional Planning Committees announces that they will hold two planning meetings on Monday, June 20, 2005, at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Office Building Conference Center located on Mero Street, Frankfort, Kentucky. The Region 17 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting will begin at 9: 30 a. m. The 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will be at 10: 30 a. m. In addition, the Kentucky Wireless Interoperability Executive Committee (KWEIC) will conduct its quarterly meeting from 1: 00 p. m. to 3: 00 p. m. The Region 17 Public Safety Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Kentucky would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that participants be representatives of all eligible public safety providers in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 800 MHz, 700 MHz band and/ or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band within Region 17 should plan to attend.
