The Region 55 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee meeting will convene at 10: 00 a. m. at the Erie County Fire Training Academy, 3359 Broadway, Cheektowaga, New York. The agenda for this meeting includes: 1. Re- establish a 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee (RPC) 2. Elect a Chairperson, Vice- Chair, Secretary, Treasurer 3. Create an RPC Committee Process 4. Create a 700 MHz Regional Plan 5. Review 700 MHz band developments to date 6. Review work of the FCC Public Safety National Coordination Committee (NCC) 7. New Business 8. Schedule Next Meeting Immediately following the adjournment of the 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee meeting, Region 55 will convene its 800 MHz NPSPAC Regional Planning Committee meeting. The agenda for this meeting includes: 1. Re- establish a 800 MHz Regional Planning Committee( RPC) 2. Elect a Chairperson, Vice- Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer 1 Region 55, the New York – Buffalo area consists of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario Orleans, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming and Yates Counties in the State of New York. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in the New York – Buffalo area would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz, 800 MHz bands, and/ or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band within Region 55 are encouraged to attend.
