The Audio Division issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“ Notice”) in response to a Petition for Rule Making filed by Charles Crawford. 1 The Notice proposes to allot Channel 222A at Boyce, Louisiana, as that community’s second local FM allotment. 2. As set forth in the Notice, the proponent of an allotment proposal is expected to file comments restating its present intention to apply for the channel if it is allotted and, if authorized, to build a station promptly. 2 Petitioner did not file comments supporting the requested allotment, nor were comments received from any other party. 3. It is the Commission’s policy to refrain from making an allotment to a community absent an adequate expression of interest. Petitioner has not demonstrated a continuing interest in the requested allotment. 4. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, That the petition for rule making filed by Charles Crawford, proposing the allotment of Channel 222A at Boyce, Louisiana, IS DISMISSED. 5. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, That this proceeding IS TERMINATED. 6. This document is not subject to the Congressional Review Act.
