C. 20554 DA 05- 245 January 28, 2005 WIRELESS TELECOMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 11 (HAWAII) 700 MHz REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES TWO PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETINGS The Region 11 (Hawaii) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee announces its next two planning meetings. The meetings will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2005, and on Thursday, March 10, 2005. Both meetings will be held at the Keoni Ana Building, Room 302, 1177 Alakea Street, Honolulu, Hawaii. The meetings will convene at 8: 30 a. m. At the February 10, 2005 meeting, members will continue to develop the 700 MHz Narrowband Channel Plan for Region 11, which is now in its third draft. The March 10, 2005 meeting, members will continue to develop the 700 MHz Narrowband and Wideband Channel Plans for Region 11. The meetings will be broadcast to the following State- owned Video Conference Center (VCCs) to facilitate neighboring county participation: Hawaii: . The Region 11 (Hawaii) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 11 would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band and 4.9 GHz band within Region 11 are encouraged to attend.
