C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418- 0500 Internet: http:// www. fcc. gov TTY: 1- 888- 835- 5322 DA 05- 2689 October 13, 2005 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ANNOUNCES THAT FOUR ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS FOR MULTIPLE ADDRESS SYSTEMS LICENSES ARE ACCEPTED FOR FILING AUCTION NO. 59 Pleading Cycle Established Report No. AUC- 59- H (Auction No. 59) On May 18, 2005, the Federal Communications Commission completed the auction of 4,226 licenses in the Multiple Address Systems (“ MAS”) spectrum (“ Auction No. 59”). 1 The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (Bureau) previously found that timely- filed long- form applications (FCC Form 601) for MAS licenses were, upon initial review, accepted for filing. 2 At that time, the Bureau acknowledged receipt of certain requests for waiver of the long- form application deadline, which were to be addressed in subsequent orders. 3 The Bureau has addressed these requests, 4 and, by the instant Public Notice, finds four additional long- form applications accepted for filing upon initial review. The Commission may return or dismiss any application if it is found, upon further examination, to be defective or not in conformance with the Commission’s rules. 5 Petitions to deny the applications listed in Attachment A must be filed no later than October 24, 2005, ten (10) days after the date of this Public Notice. See 47 C. F. R. § 1.2108( b). Oppositions to a petition to deny must be filed no later than October 31, 2005, five (5) business days after the filing date for petitions to deny. See 47 C. F. R. § 1.2108( c). Replies to oppositions must be filed no later than November 7, 2005, five (5) business days after the filing date for oppositions. See 47 C. F.
