C. 20554 DA 05- 2983 November 17, 2005 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 43 (WASHINGTON STATE) PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHz REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING AND 800 MHz REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING (PR Docket 91- 270) The Region 43 (Washington State) 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee and the Region 43 (Washington State) 800 MHz Regional Planning Committee announce meetings will be held consecutively on November 30, 2005, at Yakima Probation Services, 207 S. 3 rd Street, Yakima, Washington. The 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee will meet from 10: 00 a. m. to 12: 00 p. m. and the 800 MHz Regional Planning Committee will meet from 1: 00 p. m. to 3: 00 p. m. Vendor presentations, if any, will be from 3: 00 p. m. to 4: 30 p. m. Detailed information on the Region 43 700 MHz and 800 MHz planning process, including meeting details and planning documents, is available at the Region 43 web site, www. region43. org. A formal agenda, slide decks, maps and contact information for the meetings will be posted on the Region 43 web site in advance of the meeting, along with a conference call phone number for participants who cannot travel to the meeting. In addition, the web site has a tool to allow interested parties to sign up for the Region 43 listserver in order to receive continuing information and documents related to the planning process in Washington state . Both of the Region 43 Public Safety Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health or property in Washington would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each organization’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not conversant with telecommunications technology should ensure that their respective agencies are represented by suitably conversant staff.
