C. 20554 DA 05- 3197 December 15, 2005 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 3 (ARIZONA) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES NEXT MEETING The Region 3 (Arizona) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee announces that its next meeting will be held at the annual meeting of the Arizona Chapter of APCO, on Wednesday, January 18, 2005 from 1: 00 p. m. until 3: 00 p. m. in the Casa Grande meeting room of the Grace Inn, located at 10831 S. 51 st Street, Phoenix, Arizona. This meeting will be open to all and will not require registration of the conference being held by Arizona APCO. The purpose of this meeting is to review the current status of the Regional Plan, engage an open discussion about the current bylaws, and discuss next steps and activities surrounding 4.9 GHz. The Region 3 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Arizona whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not conversant with telecommunications technology should ensure that their respective agencies are represented by suitably conversant staff. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band, or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band within Region 3 should plan to attend.
