C. 20554 DA 05- 661 March 11, 2005 WIRELESS TELECOMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 46 (WYOMING) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES ANNOUNCE 700 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING AND 800 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING (Gen. Docket 89- 97) The Region 46 (Wyoming) Regional Planning Committees announce two public safety planning meetings. On Tuesday, April 12, 2005, the Region 46 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee meeting will convene at 10: 00 a. m. at the Bureau of Land Management Building, 2987 Prospector Drive, Casper, Wyoming. The purpose of this meeting is to continue developing a Regional plan to meet the needs of the 700 MHz spectrum users including public safety, public health, emergency management and utility services. Elections will be held for a New Chairman for this committee. The Region 46 800 MHz Regional Planning Committee meeting will hold its planning meeting following the 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting and is scheduled to begin at 1: 30 p. m. at the Bureau of Land Management Building, 2987 Prospector Drive, Casper, Wyoming. The purpose of this meeting is to review and amend the Regional plan to comply with the new frequency allocations. Elections will be held for the New Chairman for this committee. Both of the Region 46 Public Safety Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 46 would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of the new public safety spectrum in the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band are encouraged to attend.
