C. 20554 DA 06- 1317 June 27, 2006 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION NEW ENGLAND AREA (REGION 19) 800 MHZ REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE RECEIVES APPROVAL FOR AMENDMENT TO ITS PUBLIC SAFETY PLAN (GENERAL DOCKET NO. 90- 53) By this Public Notice, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (Bureau) announces that the Region 19 (New England Area) 1 800 MHz Regional Planning Committee's proposal to amend the New England Area National Public Safety Planning Advisory Committee (NPSPAC) Plan is approved. On December 29, 2005, the Region 19 (New England Area) 800 MHz (821- 824/ 866- 869 MHz) Regional Planning Committee filed an amendment to its National Public Safety Planning Advisory Committee (NPSPAC) Plan, which documented new and revised channel assignments to the frequency allocation table. 2 The Plan Amendment includes channel allocation results from the Region’s Eighteenth Window application process 3 and was coordinated with Region 19’s adjacent regions, Region 8 (New York – Metropolitan) 4 and Region 30 (New York). 5 The revised plan allocates channels to the following public safety entities: the Connecticut State Police; North Providence, Rhode Island; Hartford Hospital and the Western Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, Inc. (WMLEC). 6 1 The Region 19 (New England) 800 MHz regional planning area consists of Connecticut (except Fairfield, Litchfield, New Haven and Middlesex counties), Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. 2 See Letter dated December 28, 2005, from George J. We have reviewed the Plan Amendment submitted by Region 19, and conclude, based on the information before us, that it complies with FCC rules and policies. Accordingly, pursuant to Section 4( i) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U. S. C. § 154( i), and Section 1.102( b) of the Commission’s Rules, 47 C. F. R. § 1.102( b), the Region 19 (New England) 800 MHz Public Safety Plan Amendment is APPROVED.
