Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On August 17, 2006, the Policy Branch granted with conditions PanAmSat Licensee Corp. 's (PanAmSat) application for an extension of the license term for the SBS- 6 satellite, IBFS File Nos. SAT- MOD- 20051020- 00204. Accordingly, the license term for the SBS- 6 satellite (Call Sign: S2707) is extended an additional 5 years through and including November 1, 2010 in accordance with the attachment to grant and the Federal Communications Commission's Rules. The call sign for this satellite was previously SBS- 6. Effective with this grant, the call sign has been changed to S2707. L. orbital location following the launch of the satellite and to operate Telemetry, Tracking and Command communications during the drift of XM- 4 satellite from the 110.7° W. On August 15, 2006, the Policy Branch granted with conditions the request of XM Radio Inc. (XM Radio) for a 180 day special temporary authority (STA), File No. SAT- STA- 20060501- 00051, IS GRANTED. Accordingly, XM Radio is authorized to (1) operate the communications and Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT& C) payloads of the XM- 1 satellite (Call Sign S2118) during and after the drift from 115° W. Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On August 15, 2006, the Policy Branch granted with conditions PanAmSat Licensee Corporation's (PanAmSat) request, File No. SAT- STA- 20060717- 00075, for Special Temporary Authority (STA), to begin drifting the Galaxy 4R satellite (Call Sign S2377) from its current location at 98.9º W. L. to 76.85º W. L. and temporarily operate at the 76.85º W. L. orbital location. Accordingly PanAmSat is authorized to operate the Galaxy 4R satellite's Tracking, Telemetry, Command, and Monitoring during the drift to the 76.85° W. L. orbital location and operate the Galaxy 4R satellite in the C- band (3.7- 4.2 GHz and 5.925- 6.425 GHz) and the Ku- band (11.7- 12.2 GHz and 14.0- 14.5 GHz) frequencies on a non- harmful interference basis at the 76.85º W. L. orbital location, for a period of sixty days, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and technical specifications set forth in its application, the Attachment to the grant and the Federal Communications Commission's (Commission) Rules.
