INFORMATIVE S2603 SAT- LOA- 20031119- 00336 Pegasus Development Corporation On January 30, 2004, the Satellite Division, International Bureau, Federal Communications Commission granted Pegasus Development Corporation's (Pegasus's) application to operate its Pegasus IA satellite at the 87º W. L. orbital location in the 18.3- 18.8 GHz, 19.7- 20.2 GHz, 28.35- 28.6 GHz, and 29.25- 30.0 GHz frequency bands. Although Pegasus met its first milestone-- contract execution-- it failed to meet its second milestone-- complete critical design review by January 30, 2006. Further, Pegasus did not request an extension of this second milestone date. Instead, on January 30, 2006, Pegasus surrendered its authorization for Pegasus IA. See Letter from Bruce D. Jacobs, Esq., Counsel for Pegasus Development Corporation, to Marlene H. Dortch, Office of the Secretary, Federal Communications Commission, dated January 30, 2006. Consequently, the satellite authorization for Pegasus IA is null and void by its own terms. Accordingly, this orbit location and associated frequency bands are available for assignment to other applicants. Page 1 of 1 1
