S2669 SAT- STA- 20060807- 00085 E Effective Date: 10/ 06/ 2006 Grant of Authority Special Temporary Authority DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC Nature of Service: Direct Broadcast Satellite Service On October 5, 2006, the Satellite Division granted with conditions DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC's (DIRECTV's) application for Special Temporary Authority, File No. SAT- STA- 20060807- 00085. Accordingly, DIRECTV is authorized to locate the DIRECTV 9S satellite, a hybrid Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) and Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) Ka- band satellite, at the 138º W. L. orbital location to conduct in- orbit testing of the DIRECTV 9S DBS space station (Call Sign S2669) for a period of 52 days from this satellite's launch. Also, DIRECTV is authorized to operate the DIRECTV 9S satellite's telemetry, tracking and command (TT& C) functions on the 17795 MHz (uplink) and 12695.5 and 12696.5 MHz (downlink) frequencies, for the 52- day period from the date of launch, including during in- orbit testing at the 138º W. L. orbital location and during relocation of the satellite to its licensed location at 101.1º W. L. This authorization is granted in accordance with the terms, conditions, and technical specifications set forth in DIRECTV's application, the attachment to grant, and the Commission's rules.
