C. 20554 DA 06- 2517 December 14, 2006 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION REGION 45 (WISCONSIN) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETING The Region 45 (Wisconsin) 1 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will hold a special meeting on Thursday, February 22, 2007, from 9: 00 a. m. to 12: 00 p. m. at the Wisconsin State Patrol Post Three Headquarters, Highway 41 – West Frontage Road, North Highway 151, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The meeting will focus solely on wideband data issues relevant to 700 MHz planning, which will include channel allocations for wideband operations, rural vs. urban spectrum needs, wideband interoperability, and consistency planning with adjacent states. The Region 45 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 45 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. 1 Region 45 encompasses the State of Wisconsin except for Dane, Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha Counties.
