Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 06-2621 December 29, 2006 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU GRANTS TEN AUTOMATED MARITIME TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS LICENSES Auction No. 61 Report No. AUC-61-H (Auction No. 61) On August 17, 2005, the Federal Communications Commission completed the auction of ten Automated Maritime Telecommunications System (“AMTS”) licenses (Auction No. 61).1 On October 31, 2005, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau announced that the long-form applications of the winning bidders in Auction No. 61 were accepted for filing.2 Upon further review, we find that the Auction No. 61 applications, listed in Attachment A to this Public Notice, are complete and in conformance with the Commission’s Rules. Furthermore, the Commission has received full payment, as required by Section 1.2109(a) of its Rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.2109(a), for the applications listed in Attachment A.3 We therefore find that grant of the applications listed in Attachment A serves the public interest, convenience, and necessity. Accordingly, we grant the applications listed in Attachment A to this Public Notice pursuant to Section 309(a) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. § 309(a), and Section 0.331 of the Commission’s Rules, 47 C.F.R. § 0.331.
