On November 20, 2003, Family Broadcasting, Inc. (“ Family”), licensee of staions WSTX- FM and WSTX( FM), Christiansted, U. S. Virgin Islands, filed an Application for Review of the Media Bureau’s October 27, 2003 letter 1 dismissing its applications to assign WSTX- FM and WSTX( AM) to Caledonia Communication Corporation (“ Caledonia”) pursuant to the Commission’s Distress Sale Policy. 2 2. On January 17, 2006, Family filed a request to withdraw the assignment applications and dismiss its Application for Review because Family had entered Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection and had executed a new asset purchase agreement that effectively rendered moot the subject applications. Family indicates that it plans to file new applications seeking Commission consent to the assignment of WSTX-FM and WSTX( AM) to Caledonia under the Commission’s Second Thursday policy. 3 1 Letter to Daniel A.
