C. 20554 DA 06- 330 February 10, 2006 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 7 (COLORADO) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD MEETING The Region 7 (Colorado) 700 MHz/ 4.9 GHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee announces that its next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 10: 00 a. m., at the State of Colorado Emergency Management Office located at 9195 East Mineral Avenue, Suite 200, Centennial, Colorado. The purpose for this meeting is to review the status of pending requests for adjacent region concurrence and to consider recommendations for future meetings. The proposed draft Region 7 700 MHz Plan, as approved by the RPC for submission to the Federal Communications Commission, has been posted to the Computer Assisted Pre- coordination Resource and Database System (CAPRAD) to facilitate review by adjacent regions. 1 The Region 7 700 MHz/ 4.9 GHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Colorado would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not conversant with telecommunications technology should ensure that their respective agencies are represented by suitably conversant staff. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new Public Safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band, or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band within Region 7 are encouraged to attend.
