On November 6, 2003, the State of Wisconsin -- Educational Communications Board (“ WECB”) filed an Application for Review of the Media Bureau’s decision denying a carriage complaint against DIRECTV, Inc. for its refusal to carry noncommercial educational television station WPNE- TV, Green Bay, Wisconsin. 1 WECB now requests that its Application for Review be dismissed because it is moot. WECB states that DIRECTV began carrying WPNE- TV at the commencement of the 2006- 2008 carriage election cycle. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, that the Application for Review filed by the State of Wisconsin – Educational Communications Board, licensee of non- commercial television station WPNE-TV, Green Bay, Wisconsin, against DIRECTV IS DISMISSED. 3. This action is taken by the Deputy Chief, Policy Division, Media Bureau, pursuant to authority delegated by Section 0.283 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C. F. R. § 0.283.
