DOCKET 90- 7) By this Public Notice, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (Bureau) announces that the Region 20 (District of Columbia, Maryland and Northern Virginia) 1 821 MHz Regional Planning Committee proposal to amend its Public Safety Plan is approved. 2 On December 20, 2004, the Region 20 (District of Columbia, Maryland and Northern Virginia) 821 MHz Regional Planning Committee filed an amendment 3 to its Public Safety Plan (Plan) to revise the current channel assignments to reflect the following changes: (a) Revised Frequency Assignment Table as a result of its fourth window (Window 4A) application process; (b) modification of operating parameters of existing channels in Fairfax County, Virginia, and (c) completion of required adjacent region concurrence on channel assignments for Carroll and Charles Counties, Maryland; Fauquier and Loudoun Counties, Virginia; and the Upper Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) – Queen Anne’s, Talbot and Caroline Counties. The Plan Amendment was reviewed by, and letters of concurrence obtained from, Region 20’s adjacent regions, Region 28 (Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware), 4 Region 36 (Western Pennsylvania), 5 Region 42 (Virginia) and Region 44 (West Virginia). 1 The Region 20 area includes the District of Columbia, Maryland and Northern Virginia (Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William and Stafford Counties, and Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park Cities). 2 See Letter dated December 8, 2004, G. We have reviewed the Plan Amendment submitted by Region 20, and conclude that it complies with FCC rules and policies. Accordingly, pursuant to Section 4( i) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U. S. C. § 154( i), and Section 1.102( b) of the Commission’s Rules, 47 C. F. R. § 1.102( b), the Region 20 (District of Columbia, Maryland and Northern Virginia) 800 MHz Public Safety Plan Amendment is APPROVED.
