(“ AIN”) and Trinsic Communications, Inc. f/ k/ a Z- Tel Communications, Inc. (“ Trinsic”) (together “Applicants”), filed an application, pursuant to sections 63.03 and 63.04 of the Commission’s rules, 1 requesting approval for AIN to acquire certain customers of Trinsic. 2 The Applicants assert that this transaction is entitled to presumptive streamlined treatment under section 63.03( b)( 2)( i) of the Commission’s rules. Immediately following the transaction: (1) AIN’s market share in the local and long distance market will be substantially less than ten percent; (2) AIN provides competitive telecommunications and exchange access services exclusively in geographic areas served by a dominant local exchange carrier that is not a party to this transaction; and (3) none of the Applicants or their affiliates is dominant with respect to any U. S. domestic telecommunications service. 3 Trinsic is a Florida- based local exchange and long distance carrier, incorporated under Delaware law. Trinsic is registered, licensed or otherwise authorized to provide local and long distance services nationwide, except Alaska. Trinsic is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trinsic, 1 47 C. F.
