C. 20554 DA 06- 89 Released: January 19, 2006 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION COMMENTS INVITED ON NORTHERN CALIFORNIA (REGION 6) 800 MHz REGIONAL REVIEW COMMITTEE PUBLIC SAFETY PLAN AMENDMENT (PR DOCKET NO. 90- 287) Comment Date: February 3, 2006 On December 6, 2005, the Region 6 (Northern California) 1 800 MHz Regional Review Committee submitted a proposed revised Public Safety Plan, 2 which is a compilation of prior Commission- approved amendments, to replace the original and subsequently submitted amendments on file with the Commission. 3 The new Plan document also (1) restates the Plan Attachment G, Table of Channels, to reflect previously- approved channel assignments, including existing licensed systems and new systems; (2) declares the Table of Channels as an open pool and available to all eligible and qualified public safety entities; and (3) includes other minor changes to the text to facilitate the function and administration of the Plan. Where applicable, Region 6 coordinates its NPSPAC licensing matters with three adjacent regions, Region 5 (Southern California), Region 27 (Nevada) and Region 35 (Oregon). In accordance with the National Public Safety Plan, each region is responsible for planning its use of public safety radio frequency spectrum in the 821- 824/ 866- 869 MHz bands. 4 The National Plan specifies special policies and procedures governing the Public Safety Pool. 5 Regional plans must include an explanation of how the plan has been coordinated with adjacent regions. For modifications, the regional chair may recommend, in writing, changes to a regional plan, and the Commission will give public notice soliciting comment on any such proposals and issue appropriate orders upon review. 6 Prior to taking action on the Region 6 Plan Amendment, by this Public Notice, we solicit comments on the Plan Amendment. Pursuant to Sections 1.415 and 1.419 of the Commission’s Rules, 47 C. F. R. §§ 1.415, 1.419, interested parties may file comments on the proposed Region 6 Plan Amendment on or before February 3, 2006.
