Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 07-1321 March 15, 2007 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION NEBRASKA STATE INTEROPERABILITY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO HOLD MEETING The Nebraska State Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Third Floor Conference Room, 2200 North 33rd Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. The purpose of this meeting is to respond to requests from state and local law enforcement and fire agencies to formalize and move the SIEC forward to address VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz interoperability issues, based on Nebraska’s statewide interoperability strategy, and to implement its Nebraska statewide communications plan. The agenda for this meeting includes: § VHF, UHF, 800 MHz frequencies and naming scheme § Operational protocol for shared frequencies § Homeland Security grants supporting plan implementation § 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee Report § 4.9 GHz planning The State of Nebraska, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Network Services is responsible for administering the 700 MHz interoperability spectrum. Meeting minutes will be provided to state, local, and tribal interests. This meeting is in response to public safety official requests to adopt the mutual aid frequency plan within 60 days of the first SIEC meeting that was held on February 12, 2007.
