ORDER ON RECONSIDERATION

1. In this Order on Reconsideration, the Bureau addresses the petition for reconsideration 
filed by the Town of Medley, Florida (“Medley”) in response to the Bureau’s decision (hereinafter 
“Bureau Order”) in the above-captioned proceeding.1  On January 31, 2007, the Bureau granted the 
petition for Determination of Effective Competition filed by Comcast Cable Communications, LLC 
(“Comcast”), and thereby revoked Medley’s certification to regulate the basic rates of Comcast Cable 
Communications, LLC.2
2. As stated by Medley in its Petition for Reconsideration, Comcast on December 20, 2004 
voluntarily, but without prejudice, requested that its petition with regard to Medley be dismissed.3
Medley argues that the Media Bureau should have dismissed Comcast’s petition as to Medley pursuant to 
Comcast’s request.4 We agree. The revocation of the Medley’s certification to regulate Comcast’s basic 
cable service rates was in error.  By granting Medley’s petition for reconsideration, we hereby reinstate its 
certification to regulate Comcast’s basic cable service rates.  Our decision herein is without prejudice to 
Comcast filing a future petition for determination of effective competition for Medley. 
  
1 The Town of Medley filed an Application for Review on March 1, 2007.  On March 9, 2007,  Medley requested by 
letter that the Application for Review be treated as a Petition for Reconsideration.  Accordingly, we are treating 
Medley’s Application for Review, filed on March 1, 2007, as a Petition for Reconsideration pursuant to Section 
1.106 of the Commission’s rules. See 47 C.F.R. § 1.106.

3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the Petition for Reconsideration of the Town of 
Medley, Florida IS GRANTED. 
 4. This action is taken pursuant to authority delegated by Section 0.283 of the Commission's 
rules.5
