Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will convene at the Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters Building, 1510 East Elm, Jefferson City, Missouri. The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: § Discuss status of 700 MHz applications, regional initiatives, and usage in Missouri § Discuss nationwide 700 MHz interoperability channels, 700 MHz low power “analog eligible” channels and national channel nomenclature § Discuss regulatory issues affecting wideband 700 MHz § Discuss Missouri State Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) and its continuing role with regard to interoperability in the 700 MHz band § Discuss Computer Assisted Pre-coordination Resource and Database (CAPRAD) access at the regional planning level and current planning capabilities § Discuss 4.9 GHz use in Region 24 (Missouri) and status of WI-MAX and associated initiatives § Election of new Chairperson for Region 24 (Missouri) 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee Immediately following the 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting, the 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will convene at the same location. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 24 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 24 should plan to attend.
