Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On April 24, 2007, the Policy Branch granted with conditions PanAmSat Licensee Corp.’s (PanAmSat)’s request to launch and operate the replacement C and Ku-band Galaxy 17 satellite, IBFS File No. SAT-RPL-20061219-00155 as amended by File No. SAT-AMD-20070123-00013 (Call Sign: S2715), to be located at the 91° W.L. orbital location. Accordingly, PanAmSat is authorized to provide Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands using the Galaxy 17 satellite at the 91° W.L. orbital location, in accordance with the technical specifications set forth in its application, the Commission's Rules, and the conditions contained in the attachment to grant. On April 24, 2007, the Policy Branch granted, with conditions, PanAmSat Licensee Corp.'s authority to operate the Galaxy 17 satellite at the 81° W.L. orbital location, in the 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth) conventional C-band frequencies, and in the 14-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) and 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) conventional Ku-band frequencies, and to conduct space station Telemetry, Tracking, and Control operations necessary to effect those operations. The special temporary authority is for a period of 21 days, from May 16, 2007 to June 5, 2007. SAT-STA-20060324-00029, SAT-STA-20070105-00008, and SAT-STA-20070329-00058. Accordingly, EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation (EchoStar) IS AUTHORIZED to operate Direct Broadcast Satellite service from its EchoStar 12 satellite over Channels 23 and 24 at the 61.5º W.L. orbital location for a period of 180 days, from April 4, 2007 to October 1, 2007, subject to the conditions attached to grant.
