On December 22, 2006, SES Americom, Inc. (SES Americom), pursuant to Section 1.46 of the Commission’s rules,1 filed a “Motion for Extension of Time” requesting that the Commission extend the reply comment filing deadline in this proceeding from January 11, 2007 to January 25, 2007. SES Americom states that a two-week extension will enable the parties to provide a more complete record for review in this proceeding, which raises important policy and technical issues. SES Americom states that it has advised each of the commenting parties of its intention to seek an extension. 2. Extensions of time in which to make filings in proceedings are not routinely granted. In this case, however, the public interest will be served by granting the extension of the reply comment filing deadline as SES Americom has requested. The issues raised in the proceeding are complex, technical, and of great importance to the Direct Broadcast Service and direct-to-home consumers throughout the United States. 3. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that pursuant to Section 1.46 of the Commission's Rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.46, the request of SES Americom, Inc. is GRANTED. 4. IT IS FURTHERED ORDERED that the deadline for filing reply comments in this proceeding IS EXTENDED to January 25, 2007. 1 47 C.F.R. § 1.46. Federal Communications Commission DA 07-25 2 5.
