Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 07-3380 Released: July 23, 2007 WIRELINE COMPETITION BUREAU SEEKS COMMENT ON TELCORDIA TECHNOLOGIES, INC.’S PETITION REGARDING NUMBER PORTABILITY ADMINISTRATION SERVICES PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED WC Docket No. 07-149 Comment Date: August 22, 2007 Reply Comment Date: September 21, 2007 In this Notice, the Wireline Competition Bureau seeks comment on a petition filed by Telcordia Technologies, Inc. asking the Commission to address the number portability administration contracting process of the North American Portability Management, LLC (NAPM LLC) – the industry consortium established to contract for number portability services.1 Specifically, the petition requests that the Commission eliminate the financial penalty provisions of Amendment 57 to the contract between the NANPM LLC and NeuStar, and direct the NAPM LLC to implement an open competitive bidding process for number portability administration services.2 Interested parties may file comments on the petition on or before August 22, 2007and reply comments on or before September 21, 2007. All pleadings are to reference WC Docket No. 07-149.
