Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 07-3394 July 25, 2007 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION REGION 13 (ILLINOIS) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING AND 800 MHz NPSPAC REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETINGS PR Docket No. 91-228 The Region 13 (Illinois)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committees will hold two consecutive planning meetings on Tuesday, August 7, 2007. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will convene at the University of Illinois at Champaign, Illinois. The meeting will be held in the Motor Pool Conference Room B3, Garage and Carpool Building, 1701 South Oak Street, West of the Assembly Hall West parking lot. The purpose of this meeting is to review any pending 800 MHz applications and to address any outstanding issues. Immediately following the 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting, the 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will convene at the same location. The purpose of this meeting is to review the approval process of the pending draft 700 MHz plan. Both of the Region 13 Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 13 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. 1 The Region 13 (Illinois) area includes the entire state of Illinois, except for the “Southern Lake Michigan” counties of Winnebago, McHenry, Cook, Kane, Kendall, Grundy, Boone, Lake, DuPage, DeKalb, Will and Kankakee.
