Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 07-3841 September 5, 2007 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU GRANTS PHASE II 220 MHz SERVICE SPECTRUM LICENSES Auction Event No. 72 Report No. AUC-72 (Auction No. 72) On June 26, 2007, the Federal Communications Commission completed the auction of 94 Phase II 220 MHz Service licenses (Auction No. 72).1 After a preliminary review of the FCC long-form applications (FCC Form 601), five applications were accepted for filing.2 Upon further review, we find that the three applications listed in Attachment A are complete and conform to the Commission’s rules. Furthermore, the Commission has received full payment, as required by Section 1.2109(a) of its rules,3 for the licenses listed in Attachment A. Accordingly, by this Public Notice, we announce the grant of the licenses listed in Attachment A. We grant these licenses pursuant to Section 309(a) of the Communications Act, 47 U.S.C. § 309(a), and section 0.331 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 0.331, because it will serve the public interest, convenience, and necessity.
