Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 07-3878 September 10, 2007 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION REGION 42 (VIRGINIA) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD 800 MHz NPSPAC REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING PR Docket No. 91-300 The Region 42 (Virginia)1 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at the Double Tree Hotel, 990 Hilton Heights Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. The purpose of this meeting is to review and discuss the status of the 800 MHz rebanding process, and restrictions on the receipt and processing of new applications requesting post-rebanded 800 MHz NPSPAC frequencies. The Region 42 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 42 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and organizations eligible under Section 90.16 - National Plan Public Safety, of the Commission’s rules, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 800 MHz band within Region 42 should plan to attend.
