Federal Communications Commission DA 07-3975 Before the Federal Communications Commission Washington, D.C. 20554 In the Matter of Comcast Cable Communications, LLC Petition for Determination of Effective Competition in Jackson, Mississippi ) ) ) ) ) ) CSR 7478-E ORDER Adopted: September 19, 2007 Released: September 20, 2007 By the Senior Deputy Chief, Policy Division, Media Bureau: 1. The City of Jackson, Mississippi (the “City”) filed a Motion for Extension of Time (“Motion”) to file a response to the Petition for Special Relief (“Petition”) in the above-captioned matter filed by Comcast Cable Communications, LLC (“Comcast”). The City, citing various reasons, sought an extension of time from Comcast to file their response on November 27, 2007. Comcast has indicated that it is amenable to an extension, but believes that an extension until November 27, 2007 is too long and is willing to consent to an extension until September 27, 2007. Based on the City’s Motion, we believe that an extension should be granted. However, we do not believe that the City has adequately justified the need to delay its response until November 27, 2007. Accordingly, the City’s request is granted in part and its response to Comcast’s Petition will be due on or before October 12, 2007. Comcast’s reply will be due 10 days thereafter. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the Motion for Extension of Time filed by the City of Jackson, Mississippi in the above-captioned proceeding IS GRANTED IN PART to the extent indicated herein. 3. This action is taken under delegated authority pursuant to Section 0.283 of the Commission’s rules.1 FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Steven A. Broeckaert Senior Deputy Chief, Policy Division Media Bureau 1 47 C.F.R. § 0.283.
