Federal Communications Commission DA 07-3976 Before the Federal Communications Commission Washington, D.C. 20554 In the Matter of Comcast Cable Communications, LLC Petition for Determination of Effective Competition in City of Lake Jackson, La Marque, and Texas City, Texas (TX0279, TX0514, and TX0424) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) CSR 7470-E ORDER Adopted: September 19, 2007 Released: September 20, 2007 By the Senior Deputy Chief, Policy Division, Media Bureau: 1. The Cities of Lake Jackson, La Marque, and Texas City, Texas (the “Cities”) filed a Motion for Extension of Time (“Motion”) to file a response to the Petition for Special Relief (“Petition”) in the above-captioned matter filed by Comcast Cable Communications, LLC (“Comcast”). The Cities’, citing various reasons, sought an extension of time from Comcast to file their response on October 19, 2007. Comcast has indicated that it is amenable to an extension, but believes that an extension until October 19, 2007 is too long and is willing to consent to an extension until September 26, 2007. Based on the Cities’ Motion, we believe that an extension should be granted. However, we do not believe that the Cities have adequately justified the need to delay their response until October 19, 2007. Accordingly, the Cities’ request is granted in part and its response to Comcast’s Petition will be due on or before October 5, 2007. Comcast’s reply will be due 10 days thereafter. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the Motion for Extension of Time filed by the Cities of Lake Jackson, La Marque, and Texas City, Texas in the above-captioned proceeding IS GRANTED IN PART to the extent indicated herein. 3. This action is taken under delegated authority pursuant to Section 0.283 of the Commission’s rules.1 FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Steven A. Broeckaert Senior Deputy Chief, Policy Division Media Bureau 1 47 C.F.R. § 0.283.
