Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 07-4156 October 4, 2007 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION REGION 28 (EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY AND DELAWARE AREA) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING AND 800 MHz NPSPAC REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETINGS General Docket 89-573 The Region 28 (Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware area)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committees will hold two planning meetings on Thursday, October 18, 2007. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will convene at the Philadelphia Fire Academy, 5200 Pennypack Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 28 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 28 should plan to attend.
