MEDIA BUREAU PROVIDES GUIDANCE FOR CONTINUED PRESUNRISE AND 
POSTSUNSET OPERATION DURING NOVEMBER 2007 BY AM STATIONS
IN AREAS WITH DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
In order to permit AM stations currently operating with Presunrise Service Authorizations 
(“PSRAs”) and Postsunset Service Authorizations (“PSSAs”) to continue to do so in communities with 
Daylight Saving Time (“DST”) for the period November 1, 2007, through November 3, 2007 (DST ends 
at 2:00 AM on November 4, 2007), licensees should use the October DST “Advanced” powers and time 
periods shown on their current PSRAs and PSSAs for their presunrise and postsunset operations. This 
adjustment is necessitated by the enactment of the US Energy Policy Act of 2005 which extended the 
effective period for DST into November for the first time.
