The Audio Division has before it a “Request for Approval of Withdrawal” filed by Charles Crawford, (“Petitioner”), seeking dismissal of his petition for rule making. A Notice of Proposed Making1 was issued, setting forth Petitioner’s proposal to allot Channel 241A at Bokchito, Oklahoma and to substitute Channel 263A for vacant Channel 241A at Clayton, Oklahoma. There were no expressions of interest for this proposal from any other party and no counterproposals were received. 2. It is the Commission’s policy to refrain from making an allotment to a community absent an expression of interest. By filing its request for withdrawal, Petitioner has demonstrated that it has no continuing interest in the requested allotment. Petitioner states that no consideration has been paid or promised, directly or indirectly, for such withdrawal.2 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, That the petition for rule making filed by Charles Crawford in MB Docket No. 07-107 IS DISMISSED. 4. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, That this proceeding IS TERMINATED. 5.
