Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 07-569 February 6, 2007 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION REGION 39 (TENNESSEE) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD 700 MHz REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING The Region 39 (Tennessee) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will hold its next meeting on Thursday, February 22, 2007, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations Headquarters, located at 901 R S Gass Boulevard, Nashville, Tennessee. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Commission’s Ninth Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in WT Docket No. 96-86, which proposes a national, centralized approach to maximize public safety access to interoperable, broadband spectrum in the 700 MHz band. The agenda for this special meeting includes: § 9:30 Welcome and introductions § 9:40–11:00 Vendor presentation § 11:00–12:30 Lunch § 12:30–1:30 Presentation by Televate on the National Capital Region (NCR), Washington, DC proposed broadband project § 1:30–4:00 Discussion of the Commission’s 700 MHz Ninth Notice of Proposed Rulemaking and response The Region 39 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 39 may utilize these frequencies.
