Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 07-572 February 6, 2007 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION NEBRASKA STATE INTEROPERABILITY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO HOLD FIRST MEETING The Nebraska State Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) will hold its first meeting on Monday, February 12, 2007, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, 2200 North 33rd Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. The purpose of this meeting is to respond to requests from state and local law enforcement and fire agencies to formalize and move the SIEC forward to address VHF, UHF, and 800 MHz interoperability issues, based on Nebraska’s statewide interoperability strategy, and to implement its Nebraska statewide communications plan. The agenda for this meeting includes: § VHF and UHF mutual aid plan § 800 MHz mutual aid § Update on 700 MHz plan The State of Nebraska, Office of the Communications and Information Officer, Network Services is responsible for administering the 700 MHz interoperability spectrum. Meeting minutes will be provided to state, local, and tribal interests, and there will be follow-up meetings within 60 days of the February 12, 2007 meeting.
