Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 07-784 February 21, 2007 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION NEBRASKA STATE INTEROPERABILITY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO HOLD SECOND MEETING The Nebraska State Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) will hold its second meeting on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the Kearney-Buffalo County Law Enforcement Center, 2025 Avenue A, Kearney, Nebraska. The purpose of this meeting is to respond to requests from state and local law enforcement and fire agencies to formalize and move the SIEC forward to address VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz interoperability issues, based on Nebraska’s statewide interoperability strategy, and to implement its Nebraska statewide communications plan. The agenda for this meeting includes: § Updated draft mutual aid frequency plan § Determination of available VHF and UHF interoperability frequencies § 700/800 MHz nomenclature and review of the national frequency list § SIEC member reports on operational proposals for interoperability The State of Nebraska, Office of the Communications and Information Officer, Network Services is responsible for administering the 700 MHz interoperability spectrum. Meeting minutes will be provided to state, local, and tribal interests. This meeting is in response to public safety official requests to adopt the mutual aid frequency plan within 60 days of the first SIEC meeting that was held on February 12, 2007.
