PUBLIC NOTICE Federal Communications Commission 445 12th Street, S.W. Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Fax-On-Demand 202 / 418-2830 TTY 202 / 418-2555 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov ftp.fcc.gov DA 08-1689 Released: July 17, 2008 AUDIO BRIDGING SERVICE PROVIDERS TO BEGIN FILING FCC FORM 499-Q ON AUGUST 1, 2008 On June 30, 2008, the Commission released the InterCall Order, in which the Commission determined that InterCall, Inc. (InterCall) and all similarly situated audio bridging service providers are required to contribute directly to the universal service fund (USF).1 As part of the InterCall Order, the Commission also directed the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) to conduct outreach to both stand-alone audio bridging providers and integrated teleconferencing service providers to ensure that such providers properly contribute directly to the USF based on their interstate and international end user revenues derived from providing audio bridging services.2 To assist USAC in its efforts, the Wireline Competition Bureau releases this public notice to raise awareness of the first filing date. As stated in the InterCall Order, InterCall and other audio bridging service providers, either stand-alone or integrated, must begin filing their FCC Forms 499-Q as of the August 1, 2008 filing deadline so these entities can “directly contribute to the USF as of the calendar quarter immediately following the next regularly scheduled FCC Form 499-Q filing after the release date of the [InterCall Order].”3 Prior to the August filing deadline, entities that have not registered with the Commission and USAC will need to do so. Information on registration is contained in the instructions to the FCC Form 499-A, which can be found on the Commission’s website or USAC’s website.4 All reporting entities should familiarize themselves with the program’s rules and requirements, including the FCC Forms 499-Q and 499-A and their instructions, to ensure compliance.5 People with Disabilities: To request materials in accessible formats for people with disabilities (braille, large print, electronic files, audio format), send an e-mail to fcc504@fcc.gov or call the Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau at 202-418-0530 (voice), 202-418-0432 (tty). 1 See Request for Review by InterCall, Inc. of Decision of Universal Service Administrator, CC Docket No. 96-45, Order, FCC 08-160 (rel.
