Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 08-1927 August 19, 2008 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION REGION 24 (MISSOURI) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD 800 MHZ NPSPAC REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING PR Docket No. 93-131 The Region 24 (Missouri) 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters, Second Floor Conference Room, 1510 East Elm, Jefferson City, Missouri. The agenda for the 800 MHz meeting includes: § Welcome o Approval of the previous meeting minutes § Old Business o Adjacent state 800 MHz issues § New Business o Regional review of the current Region 24 800 MHz channel allotments; how Region 24 allotments can be improved to support the user base o Discussion of necessary modification of Region 24 800 MHz plan o Discussion of 800 MHz former Nextel channels between 854-860 MHz to be made available for public safety and critical infrastructure o Discussion of new NPSPAC 800 MHz applications in Region 24 o Discussion of future channel allotments/repacking in Region 24 § Adjournment The Region 24 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 24 are eligible to utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 90.523, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs.
