Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 08-1928 August 19, 2008 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION REGION 24 (MISSOURI) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD 700 MHZ REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING The Region 24 (Missouri) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, beginning at 12 noon, at the Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters, Second Floor Conference Room, 1510 East Elm, Jefferson City, Missouri. The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: § Welcome o Approval of the previous meeting minutes o Public comment § Old Business o Adjacent state 700 MHz issues o Update on Plan approval o Other old business as necessary § New Business o Regional review of the current Region 24 700 MHz channel allotments; 700 MHz D block auction required changes o Discussion of Plan status and availability of 700 MHz spectrum in Missouri o Refresher on the 700 MHz rules, system requirements, channel loading, 6.25 KHz equivalency requirements, other o St. Louis UASI o Other new business as necessary § Adjournment The Region 24 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 24 are eligible to utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 90.523, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs.
